FINDING OF FACT The Veteran has provided competent and credible sworn testimony that he has tinnitus; that he was exposed to hazardous noise levels from loud generators and the flight line while working as a weapons mechanic therein; and that his tinnitus began in his early twenties, during service, and has persisted since. CONCLUSION OF LAW The criteria for service connection for tinnitus have been met. 38 U.S.C. §§ 1110, 1112, 1113, 5107(b); 38 C.F.R. §§ 3.102, 3.303(b), 3.307, 3.309(a). REASONS AND BASES FOR FINDING AND CONCLUSION The appellant is a Veteran who served on active duty from January 1975 to June 1978. This matter is before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (Board) on appeal from June 2014 rating decision. In October 2018, a videoconference hearing was held before the undersigned. For the reasons stated above, the Board grants the appeal in full, obviating the need for further substantive discussion at this time.
