Entitlement to service connection for joint pains, claimed as due to an undiagnosed illness, is remanded. Entitlement to service connection for neurological symptoms, to include dizziness, claimed as due to an undiagnosed illness, is remanded. Entitlement to service connection for pain in sides is remanded. Entitlement to service connection for a disability of the kidney is remanded. Entitlement to service connection for sleep problems is remanded. Entitlement to a total disability rating based on individual unemployment (TDIU) is remanded. REASONS FOR REMAND The Veteran served on active duty from October 1975 to October 1983 and from July 1985 to October 1998. This matter comes before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (Board) from a May 2013 rating decision from a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional office (RO). The Veteran filed a timely notice of disagreement with the May 2013 rating decision which denied the above issues. A statement of the case was issued in April 2015, and the Veteran filed a substantive appeal in May 2015. Since the April 2015 statement of the case was issued, additional VA treatment records relevant to the Veteran’s claims have been uploaded to the Veteran’s claims file. These records include those from the Southern Nevada Health Care System dated from May 2015 to November 2015. These records relate to the issues on appeal. These records were received prior to case being certified to the Board. In such instances, the AOJ is required to issue a supplemental statement of the case to address the additional evidence in the first instance. 38 C.F.R. §§ 19.31, 19.37(a). As a supplemental statement of the case has not been issued, the Board may not adjudicate the issues this case, and must remand them to the AOJ. CONTINUED ON NEXT PAGE The matters are REMANDED for the following action: Issue a supplemental statement of the case on the issues of entitlement to service connection for hypertension, neurological symptoms, joint pains, a kidney disability, sleep problems, side pains, and for entitlement to a TDIU. The supplemental statement of the case should address all new evidence received since the issuance of the statement of the case in April 2015. The Veteran should be allowed an appropriate amount of time to respond before transferring the case back to the Board. K. J.
