Citation Nr: 18155821 Decision Date: 12/06/18 Archive Date: 12/06/18 DOCKET NO. 16-48 233 DATE: December 6, 2018 REMANDED ISSUES 1. The issue of service connection for a right foot injury and a right foot bone spur claimed as right foot achilles tendonitis is remanded. 2. The issue of service connection for hypertension is remanded. 3. The issue of secondary service connection for arteriosclerotic heart disease is remanded. 1. REASONS FOR REMAND: In July 2014, the Veteran reported to John W. Ellis, M.D., that he was once employed by the Federal Government as a jet engine mechanic after his discharge from active service. Because medical treatment records generated during the course of the employment with the Federal Government may be relevant in establishing service connection, the issues are REMANDED for the following action:   2. Request that the Veteran complete any necessary authorization form for the release of any civilian medical personnel record generated during his employment with the U.S. government. After obtaining his authorization, contact the National Personnel Records Center and request that it forward the Veteran’s file. ADVISE THE VETERAN THAT HE MAY SUBMIT ANY OTHER MEDICAL OR NON-MEDICAL EVIDENCE IN SUPPORT OF HIS CLAIMS. 3. After obtaining the file, conduct any other medical or factual development and readjudicate the claim. Vito A. Clementi Veterans Law Judge Board of Veterans’ Appeals ATTORNEY FOR THE BOARD T. T.
