REMANDED ISSUE
A compensable rating for bilateral hearing loss is remanded for additional development.
The Veteran served on active duty from August 1969 to August 1972.
The Veteran received a VA examination in December 2013.  The examiner indicated the use of these scores were not appropriate.  The examiner found the speech recognition scores inconsistent and abnormally low based on the Veteran’s response to testing and the type and degree of hearing loss the Veteran’s experiences.
The Board is unable to use these scores to make an informed determination in this case.  The other VA examination of record is from December 2010 and the Veteran asserts that his hearing loss has worsened since that time.  Specifically, the Veteran asserts that during a 2012 VA treatment visit, he was told that he experienced a 50 percent hearing loss in both ears. 
The matter is REMANDED for the following action:
1. Schedule the Veteran for an audiological examination. 
2. Then, readjudicate the claim on appeal.  If the decision is adverse to the Veteran, issue a supplemental statement of the case and afford the Veteran a reasonable opportunity to respond before returning the case to the Board for further review.
