Citation Nr: 19145751 Decision Date: 06/13/19 Archive Date: 06/12/19 DOCKET NO. 14-12 395 DATE: June 13, 2019 REMANDED Entitlement to an increased rating for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with major depressive disorder, currently rated as 50 percent disabling, is remanded. REASONS FOR REMAND The Veteran served on active duty in the United States Navy from November 1967 to March 1971. This matter comes before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (Board) on appeal from a February 2011 decision by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Office (RO) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In May 2017, the Veteran testified at a Video Conference hearing before the undersigned. A transcript of that hearing is associated with the record. In December 2017, the Board remanded the appeal for further development. Regrettably, a remand is again required. In this regard, the record indicates there are outstanding VA treatment records. During the Veteran’s January 2018 PTSD examination, the clinician noted that the Veteran attends monthly individual therapy with a licensed social worker, and is also followed by a VA psychiatrist for medication management. The Board notes that the most recent VA treatment records associated with the record are dated July 2015. Accordingly, updated VA treatment records must be obtained. The matter is REMANDED for the following action: 1. Obtain updated VA treatment records, dated after July 2015, specifically those from his treating social worker and psychiatrist. 2. Readjudicate the appeal. L. M. BARNARD Veterans Law Judge Board of Veterans’ Appeals ATTORNEY FOR THE BOARD A.Z., Counsel The Board’s decision in this case is binding only with respect to the instant matter decided. This decision is not precedential, and does not establish VA policies or interpretations of general applicability. 38 C.F.R. § 20.1303.
