Citation Nr: 20005013 Decision Date: 01/22/20 Archive Date: 01/22/20 DOCKET NO. 19-12 434A DATE: January 22, 2020 REMANDED Service connection for a stomach condition, to include as due to an undiagnosed illness or other qualifying chronic disability, pursuant to 38 C.F.R. § 3.317, is remanded. Service connection for a neurological condition, to include as due to an undiagnosed illness or other qualifying chronic disability, pursuant to 38 C.F.R. § 3.317, is remanded. REASONS FOR REMAND The Veteran served on active duty from August 1989 to January 1993. In March 2019, the Veteran underwent VA examinations for his aforementioned claims. Unfortunately, these examinations are inadequate for adjudication purposes and, upon review, the Board feels that additional examinations are necessary. The matters are REMANDED for the following action: 1. Obtain any outstanding VA treatment records. 2. Thereafter, schedule an appropriate examination to determine the nature and etiology of the Veteran’s stomach symptomatology with special consideration of undiagnosed illness. The claims file, to include a copy of this remand, should be reviewed in conjunction with the examination. All indicated tests and studies should be performed. The examiner should record any medical signs observed during the examination. The examiner should render a diagnosis for the Veteran's symptomatology. If a diagnosis is made, the examiner is asked to provide an opinion as to whether it is at least as likely as not (50 percent or greater probability) that any diagnosed disorder is related to the Veteran's active duty service. The rationale for any opinion should be provided. The examiner should specifically state if the Veteran’s symptomatology is not attributable to a particular diagnosis. 3.
