Citation Nr: 20007746 Decision Date: 01/30/20 Archive Date: 01/29/20 DOCKET NO. 17-39 583 DATE: January 30, 2020 REMANDED Service connection for bilateral toe fungus is remanded. REASONS FOR REMAND The Veteran served on active duty from April 1990 to April 1994 and from February 2003 to August 2004. Though the Veteran did undergo a VA examination regarding her feet in May 2015, that examination did not provide an opinion on the etiology of her bilateral toe fungus. As such, the Board finds that remand for another VA examination is warranted. The matter is REMANDED for the following actions: 1. Obtain any outstanding VA treatment records. 2. Thereafter, schedule the Veteran for an examination by an appropriate clinician to determine the nature and etiology of her bilateral toe fungus. The claims file should be made available to the examiner for review. The examiner must opine whether it is at least as likely as not (50 percent or greater probability) that the Veteran’s bilateral toe fungus was incurred in, or due to, the Veteran’s service. A rationale for all opinions must be provided. JOHN Z. JONES Veterans Law Judge Board of Veterans’ Appeals Attorney for the Board A. Parrish, Associate Counsel The Board’s decision in this case is binding only with respect to the instant matter decided. This decision is not precedential and does not establish VA policies or interpretations of general applicability. 38 C.F.R. § 20.1303.
