The Veteran’s representative submitted a letter to the Board dated May 29, 2020, withdrawing the Veteran’s claim for service connection for neurological issues, which was received by the Board on June 25, 2020. The criteria for dismissal of a claim for service connection for neurological issues have been met. 38 U.S.C. § 7105; 38 C.F.R. § 20.205. REASONS AND BASES FOR FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS The Veteran served on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps from May 1961 to May 1964. The matter was appealed to the Board from January 2017 and May 2016 rating decisions. Service Connection The claim for service connection for PTSD and neurological issues The Board received a letter from the Veteran’s representative on June 25, 2020 that was dated May 29, 2020, withdrawing the Veteran’s appeal pertaining to service connection for PTSD, to include other acquired mental disorders, and service connection for neurological issues. The letter reflected that both the Veteran, as well as his son who has Power of Attorney over the Veteran, had full knowledge of the withdrawal of the appeal. (Continued on the next page)   At any time before the Board issues a final decision, a Veteran or his or her representative may withdraw an issue on appeal to the Board. See 38 C.F.R. § 20.205. As such, no allegation of error of fact or law remains for the Board to decide, and thus the Board no longer has jurisdiction to review the withdrawn issues and must dismiss their appeal. See 38 U.S.C. § 7105. Thus, both service connection for PTSD, to include other acquired mental disorders, and service connection for neurological issues are dismissed. MATTHEW W.
