On August 20, 2019, prior to the promulgation of a decision in the appeal, the Board received notification from the Veteran that he wished to withdraw his appeal as to the claims for service connection for hypertension and a left-hand disability, as well as his claims for an increased rating for his right thumb fracture, left ankle disability, right ankle disability, left ankle scar, and right ankle scar. CONCLUSIONS OF LAW 1. The criteria for withdrawal of the claim for service connection for hypertension by the Veteran have been met. 38 U.S.C. § 7105; 38 C.F.R. § 20.205. 2. The criteria for withdrawal of the claim for service connection for a left hand disability by the Veteran have been met. 38 U.S.C. § 7105; 38 C.F.R. § 20.205. 3. The criteria for withdrawal of the claim for a compensable rating for right thumb fracture by the Veteran have been met. 38 U.S.C. § 7105; 38 C.F.R. § 20.205. 4. The criteria for withdrawal of the claim for an initial rating in excess of 20 percent for a left ankle disability by the Veteran have been met. 38 U.S.C. § 7105; 38 C.F.R. § 20.205. 5. The criteria for withdrawal of the claim for an initial rating in excess of 20 percent for a right ankle disability by the Veteran have been met. 38 U.S.C. § 7105; 38 C.F.R. § 20.205. 6. The criteria for withdrawal of the claim for a compensable rating for left ankle scar by the Veteran have been met. 38 U.S.C. § 7105; 38 C.F.R. § 20.205. 7. The criteria for withdrawal of the claim for a compensable rating for right ankle scar by the Veteran have been met. 38 U.S.C. § 7105; 38 C.F.R. § 20.205. REASONS AND BASES FOR FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS The Veteran served on active duty from January 1972 to December 1973. The Veteran appealed a June 2015 rating decision by the Agency of Original Jurisdiction (AOJ). In July 2019, the Board remanded the claims on appeal to the AOJ for further action consistent with the Board’s remand directives. The case has returned to the Board for further proceedings. Immediately following the Board’s remand, the Veteran submitted a statement requesting to withdraw of all the claims in this appeal. See August 2019 VA Form 21-4138; see also May 2020 VA Form 21-4138. Specifically, in this statement, he explained that within the July 2019 Board decision, he had been awarded a total disability for compensation based on unemployability, had been awarded service connection for a psychiatric disorder, and had been awarded an earlier effective date for the right ankle scar. He then acknowledged that the above issues had been remanded, but that he wanted to withdraw all the remaining issues on appeal. The Board finds that the Veteran’s intention to withdraw these issues is clear. The Board may dismiss any appeal which fails to allege specific error of fact or law in the determination being appealed. 38 U.S.C. § 7105. An appeal may be withdrawn as to any or all issues involved in the appeal at any time before the Board promulgates a decision. 38 C.F.R. § 20.205. Withdrawal may be made by the appellant or by his or her authorized representative. 38 C.F.R. § 20.205. In the present case, the Veteran has withdrawn all claims on appeal and, hence, there remain no allegations of errors of fact or law for appellate consideration. Accordingly, the Board does not have jurisdiction to review the appeal, and it is dismissed. A. P. SIMPSON Veterans Law Judge Board of Veterans’ Appeals Attorney for the Board A.
