REASONS FOR REMAND The Veteran served on active duty in the U.S. Army from January 1956 to January 1958. This matter comes before the Board of Veteran’s Appeals (Board) on appeal from a February 2015 rating decision by the Regional Office (RO). In July 2019, the Board remanded the Veteran’s claim for further development. This matter is now returned to the Board for further appellate review. Entitlement to a compensable evaluation for bilateral hearing loss is remanded. The Veteran’s bilateral hearing loss is currently assigned a noncompensable rating. The Veteran seeks an increased rating. See Form 21-526, October 2014. Most recently, in July 2019, the Board remanded the Veteran’s claim in part because he testified at the Board hearing that he had an audiological evaluation at a VA medical facility around 2019, but his VA treatment records in the claims file were only dated through 2017. Subsequently, the RO associated with the claims file more recent VA treatment records dated through July 2020. Also, a new VA examination was performed in December 2019 but with results that do not support a compensable rating. The more recent VA treatment records associated with the claims file include a February 2018 VA audiology clinic evaluation record. Audiological testing was performed, and the audiologist noted the Veteran has “mild to profound” sensorineural hearing loss in both ears, but the specific pure tone thresholds at 1000, 2000, 3000, and 4000 hertz are not provided. Speech recognition scores are were lower than shown in the December 2019 examination. See CAPRI, received November 2019 at p.143. Therefore, regrettably, the Board finds this matter should be remanded so that the RO may associate with the claims file the specific audiological test results, i.e., the pure tone thresholds at 1000, 2000, 3000, and 4000 hertz, from the February 2018 VA audiology clinic evaluation. The matters are REMANDED for the following action: Associate with the claims file the specific results of audiological testing from the audiology clinic at the VA McClellan CBOC dated on February 9, 2018.
