Citation Nr: A21018322 Decision Date: 11/17/21 Archive Date: 11/17/21 DOCKET NO. 210106-179356 DATE: November 17, 2021 ORDER Entitlement to payment or reimbursement for medical costs associated with episode of care on March 4, 2020 is dismissed. FINDING OF FACT During the pendency of the appeal, the costs associated for the episode of care on March 4, 2020 have been paid in full to the appellant. CONCLUSION OF LAW The criteria for dismissal of entitlement to medical payment or reimbursement for the episode of care on March 4, 2020 have been met. 38 U.S.C. § 7105; 38 C.F.R. § 20.205. REASONS AND BASES FOR FINDING AND CONCLUSION The Veteran had active duty in the Marine Corps from October 1957 to October 1960. The appellant is Henry Ford Hospital System. The appellant submitted a VA Form 10182, Decision Review Request: Board Appeal in January 2021. Here, the appellant appealed VA's decision to deny payment or reimbursement for medical expenses related to episode of care on March 4, 2020. It appears that any controversy has been mooted. During the pendency of the appeal, the claim was paid in full by VA on July 7, 2021 and notification of the denial reversal was sent by VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System in Cleveland, Ohio in July 2021. As there does not appear to remain any issue related to the initial denial for the Board of Veterans' Appeals (Board) to decide, dismissal of the appeal is appropriate and so ordered. L. M. BARNARD Veterans Law Judge Board of Veterans' Appeals Attorney for the Board J. Lee The Board's decision in this case is binding only with respect to the instant matter decided. This decision is not precedential and does not establish VA policies or interpretations of general applicability. 38 C.F.R. § 20.1303.
