Citation Nr: A21018944 Decision Date: 11/29/21 Archive Date: 11/29/21 DOCKET NO. 210501-193944 DATE: November 29, 2021 ORDER The appeal pertaining to a denial of reimbursement for dental treatment on February 20, 2020 is dismissed. FINDING OF FACT In or about September 2021, medical reimbursement for dental treatment on February 20, 2020 was approved. CONCLUSION OF LAW The criteria for dismissal of the appeal for reimbursement for dental treatment on February 20, 2020 have been met. 38 U.S.C. § 7105; 38 C.F.R. § 20.205. REASONS AND BASES FOR FINDING AND CONCLUSION On June 21, 2020, medical reimbursement for dental treatment the Veteran received on February 20, 2020 was rejected due to missing information. In May 2021, the dental provider filed a VA Form 10182 Notice of Disagreement and requested direct review by a Veterans Law Judge. Per evidence associated with the claims folder in September 2021, the Department of Veterans Affairs/Payment Operations and Management determined that reimbursement for dental care on February 20, 2020 was approved. Thus, the benefit sought on appeal has been granted in full and there is no further case or controversy. As the matter has been granted in full, there is no further case or controversy within the AMA framework for the Board to adjudicate. Accordingly, the appeal is dismissed. 38 U.S.C. § 7105(d). Eric S. Leboff Veterans Law Judge Board of Veterans' Appeals Attorney for the Board M.W. Kreindler, Counsel The Board's decision in this case is binding only with respect to the instant matter decided. This decision is not precedential and does not establish VA policies or interpretations of general applicability. 38 C.F.R. § 20.1303.
