In a July 2021 Appeals Satisfaction Notice, the Veteran expressly withdrew the appeal for entitlement to service connection for loss of balance due to neck core compression. 2. In a July 2021 Appeals Satisfaction Notice, the Veteran expressly withdrew the appeal for a rating in excess of 70 percent for generalized anxiety disorder, persistent depressive disorder, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, for the period from June 16, 2020. 3. In a July 2021 Appeals Satisfaction Notice, the Veteran expressly withdrew the appeal for a rating in excess of 10 percent for unspecified anxiety disorder with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder for the period prior to June 16, 2020. 4. REASONS AND BASES FOR FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS The Veteran had active service from May 1978 to September 1978; from September 2002 to June 2003; from March 2008 to December 2010; and from March 2014 to May 2016. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Veteran had additional duty with the Louisiana Army National Guard. Withdrawal In a July 2021 Appeals Satisfaction Notice, the Veteran stated that "based on the decision rendered, I am satisfied and wish to withdraw all remaining issues associated with this appeal." In a July 2021 written statement, the Veteran clarified that "I am requesting to discontinue my appeal to the Board of Veterans' Appeals." A veteran may withdraw a substantive appeal in writing at any time prior to the Board of Veterans' Appeals (Board) promulgation of a decision. 38 C.F.R. § 19.55. The Board finds that the Veteran has effectively withdrawn the appeal for service connection for loss of balance and increased ratings for the psychiatric disability, surgical scars, cervical spine disability, headache syndrome, left hip disability, obstructive sleep apnea, hypertension, and erectile dysfunction. Therefore, the Board concludes that no allegation of fact or law remains as to these issues, and the appeal must be dismissed. 38 U.S.C. § 7105. J. T.
