REMANDED

Entitlement to service connection for a respiratory disability to include allergic rhinitis, claimed as a result of exposure to particulate matter, is remanded.  

Entitlement to service connection for a recurrent skin disability, to include a rash and tinea cruris, is remanded.  

REASONS FOR REMAND

The Veteran had active service from July 1977 to August 1984; from March 1991 to June 1991; and from March 2003 to March 2004.  He had additional duty with the North Carolina Air National Guard.  

Entitlement to service connection for both a respiratory disability to include allergic rhinitis claimed as a result of exposure to particulate matter and a recurrent skin disability to include a rash and tinea cruris is remanded.  

The service personnel documentation of record reflects that the Veteran was a member of the North Carolina Air National Guard.  The Veteran's periods of active duty, active duty for training, and inactive duty for training with the North Carolina Air National Guard have not been verified and all service treatment records associated with that duty have not been requested for association with the record.  

The matters are REMANDED for the following action:

Contact the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) and/or the appropriate service entity and request that the Veteran's periods of active duty, active duty for training, and inactive duty for training with the North Carolina Air National Guard and all available service treatment records associated with that duty be forwarded for incorporation into the record.
