REASONS FOR REMAND The Veteran served on active duty from September 1944 to June 1946. He served honorably in the United States Navy during the World War II Era. He was awarded the Victory Medal, the American Area Campaign Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Area Campaign Medal. The Board sincerely thanks the Veteran and his family for his service to our country. The Veteran testified before the undersigned Veterans Law Judge in October 2020. A transcript is in the record before the Board. The Board remanded this claim for additional development in January 2021. At that time, the Board observed that VA had made numerous unsuccessful attempts to obtain treatment records from the Christie Clinic. The Board notes that VA received treatment records from the Christie Clinic in November 2020. However, they contain no relevant complaints, symptoms, findings or diagnoses. A compensable evaluation for right ear hearing loss is remanded. The Board’s remand observed that the Veteran was in the process of being scheduled for a VA hearing loss examination. Such an examination has not been conducted. The Veteran should be provided an opportunity to report for a VA examination to ascertain the current severity and manifestations of his service-connected right ear hearing loss. VA CAPRI records obtained on remand reflect that the Veteran underwent a hearing aid evaluation in February 2020 which revealed a severe to profound SNHL, and word recognition score of 60 percent, for the right ear. However, the records do not include the actual February 2020 audiogram with numerical results and do not reveal which speech discrimination test was used. On remand, the actual February 2020 audiogram with numerical results, if available, should be obtained as well as clarification regarding which speech discrimination test was used. The matter is REMANDED for the following action: 1. Obtain and associate with the Veteran's eFolder the actual February 2020 VA audiogram with numerical results, if available, and identify whether the Maryland CNC speech discrimination test was used, to include printing and uploading into VBMS any audiometric records in VistA.   2. Then, schedule the Veteran for an examination by an appropriate clinician to determine the current severity of his service-connected right ear hearing loss. The clinician should provide a full description of the disability and report all signs and symptoms necessary for evaluating the Veteran’s disability under the rating criteria. M. C.
