REMANDED

Entitlement to a compensable disability rating prior to August 13, 2019, and in excess of 20 percent thereafter, for bilateral hearing loss, to include the propriety of the reduction to a noncompensable evaluation effective January 1, 2018, is remanded.

REASONS FOR REMAND

The Veteran served on active duty from August 1955 to January 1965. In January 2021, he testified at a Board hearing before the undersigned Veterans Law Judge. A transcript of the proceeding is in the record.

At his Board hearing the Veteran stated that he underwent a VA examination in March 2020 to evaluate the severity of his hearing loss. The examination report is not in the Veteran’s claims folder. The most recent VA treatment records in the claims folder are dated from December 2019. As such, remand is needed to obtain the March 2020 VA examination report referenced by the Veteran, as well as any outstanding VA treatment records.

The matters are REMANDED for the following action:

Obtain the Veteran’s VA treatment records for the period from December 2019 to the present, including the March 2020 examination report referenced by the Veteran in his Board hearing testimony.
