INTRODUCTION The Veteran had active service from September 1978 to July 1988. In February 2017, the Veteran attended a hearing before the undersigned Veterans Law Judge. A transcript of that proceeding is of record. When this case was before the Board in June 2018 and June 2020, the above-noted issue was remanded for further development. By way of a January 2021 rating decision, the RO granted service connection for the Veteran’s right knee disability. FINDING OF FACT As the RO granted service connection for a right knee disability by way of a January 2021 rating decision, there is no longer a case or controversy regarding the issue of entitlement to service connection for a right knee disability. CONCLUSION OF LAW There being no justiciable case or controversy, with regard to entitlement to service connection for a right knee disability, the Veteran’s appeal is dismissed. 38 U.S.C. § 7105. REASONS AND BASES FOR FINDING AND CONCLUSION In January 2021 the RO granted entitlement to service connection for a right knee disability. Accordingly, there is no justiciable case or controversy regarding entitlement to service connection for a right knee disability. See 38 U.S.C. § 7105.
