REMANDED

The issue of a rating higher than 70 percent for schizophrenia is remanded.  

REASONS FOR REMAND

The Veteran served on active duty from March 1970 to August 1971.    

This matter comes before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (Board) on appeal from a September 2014 rating decision of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Office (RO).  

The issue of a rating higher than 70 percent for schizophrenia is remanded.  

A remand is necessary as there are outstanding VA treatment records regarding the Veteran’s psychiatric treatment.  Specifically, during a May 2015 VA examination, the Veteran reported that he received continued VA treatment for his psychiatric disorder.  Furthermore, an April 2015 VA psychotherapy session treatment report reflects that the Veteran underwent weekly individual psychotherapy treatment. The Veteran’s VA treatment records are only current through April 2015.

The matter is REMANDED for the following action:

Obtain outstanding treatment records regarding the Veteran’s for his psychiatric disorder since April 2015.
