ORDER

The claim for service connection for hypermetropia is dismissed. 

The claim for service connection for major depressive disorder is dismissed. 

FINDING OF FACT

In a December 2020 statement, and prior to the promulgation of a decision in the appeal, the Veteran communicated his intent to withdraw these claims on appeal. 

CONCLUSIONS OF LAW

1. The criteria for withdrawal of the service connection for hypermetropia claim by the appellant (or his or her authorized representative) have been met. 38 U.S.C. § 7105; 38 C.F.R. § 20.205.

2. The criteria for withdrawal of the service connection for major depressive disorder claim by the appellant (or his or her authorized representative) have been met. 38 U.S.C. § 7105; 38 C.F.R. § § 20.205. 

REASONS AND BASES FOR FINDING AND CONCLUSIONS

The Veteran honorably served in the Navy from September 1989 to September 1993, the Army National Guard from June 2007 to September 2007, and in the Army from March 2009 to December 2015. 

The Board may dismiss any appeal which fails to allege specific error of fact or law in the determination being appealed. 38 U.S.C. § 7105. An appeal may be withdrawn as to any or all issues involved in the appeal at any time before the Board promulgates a decision. 38 C.F.R. § 20.204. In the present case, the Veteran submitted a December 2020 statement in which he communicated a desire to cancel his scheduled Board hearing and close these remaining matters on appeal. 

Accordingly, the Veteran has communicated his intent to not pursue these matters, the Board considers the claims withdrawn. Accordingly, the Board does not have jurisdiction to review these appeals and they are dismissed.
