REMANDED

Entitlement to service connection for sleep apnea, to include as secondary to posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is remanded.

Entitlement to service connection for headaches, to include as due to exposure to Gulf War environmental hazards, is remanded.

Entitlement to service connection for dizziness/vertigo, to include as due to exposure to Gulf War environmental hazards, is remanded.

Entitlement to service connection for acid reflux, to include as due to exposure to Gulf War environmental hazards, is remanded.

REASONS FOR REMAND

The Veteran served on active duty in the Army from November 1984 to August 1991. These issues come before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (Board) on appeal from September 2010, June 2015, March 2016, and March 2018 rating decisions issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Office (RO).

In September 2018 and April 2020, this matter was remanded for additional development.

1. Entitlement to service connection for sleep apnea, to include as secondary to PTSD, is remanded.

2. Entitlement to service connection for headaches, to include as due to exposure to Gulf War environmental hazards, is remanded.

3. Entitlement to service connection for dizziness/vertigo, to include as due to exposure to Gulf War environmental hazards, is remanded.

4. Entitlement to service connection for acid reflux, to include as due to exposure to Gulf War environmental hazards, is remanded.

The Board remanded these issues for further development in September 2018 and April 2020.

Although the RO conducted additional development on these issues, the RO did not readjudicate the issues currently on appeal after the development was conducted, to specifically include affording VA examinations on the issues on appeal. The Board also notes that additional evidence has been added to the claims file since the April 2020 Board remand.

On remand, the RO should conduct any additional development necessary and readjudicate the issues currently on appeal, then provide the Veteran and his representative with appropriate notice of the decision.
