REMANDED

Entitlement to an initial compensable rating for bilateral hearing loss is remanded.

REASONS FOR REMAND

The Veteran served on active duty from December 1979 to February 1986.  

This matter comes before the Board of Veterans' Appeals (Board) on appeal from a September 2014 rating decision of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Office (RO).

Entitlement to an initial compensable rating for bilateral hearing loss is remanded

The Agency of Original Jurisdiction (AOJ) most recently issued a supplemental statement of the case (SSOC) addressing the Veteran's claim in August 2020. Since that time, additional evidence relevant to the Veteran's claim, including a December 2020 VA examination report, has been added to the record. In April 2021, the Veteran requested that the Board remand his case to the AOJ for consideration of this evidence in the first instance. Consistent with the Veteran's request, the Board remands this case to the AOJ for initial consideration of the newly submitted evidence. 38 C.F.R. § 20.1304 (c).

The matters are REMANDED for the following action:

Readjudicate the claim on appeal, including consideration of all evidence received since the August 2020 SSOC.
