REMANDED

Entitlement to a disability rating higher than 10 percent for bilateral hearing loss is remanded.

REASONS FOR REMAND

The Veteran had active military service from November 1969 to November 1973.

This matter comes before the Board of Veterans' Appeals (Board) on appeal from a March 2018 rating decision issued by a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Office (RO).

In May 2021, the Veteran testified at a Virtual Board hearing before the undersigned Veterans Law Judge. 

Entitlement to a disability rating higher than 10 percent for bilateral hearing loss is remanded.

The Veteran contends that his bilateral hearing loss has increased in severity since his last examination by the VA in February 2018.  Therefore, the Veteran should be provided an opportunity to report for a VA examination to ascertain the current severity and manifestations of his bilateral hearing loss. 

The matter is REMANDED for the following action:

1. Schedule the Veteran for an examination by an appropriate clinician to determine the current severity of his service-connected bilateral hearing loss.  The examiner should provide a full description of the disability and report all signs and symptoms necessary for evaluating the Veteran's disability under the rating criteria.

A complete rationale for any medical opinion rendered must be provided.
