REMANDED

Entitlement to a disability rating in excess of 30 percent for other specified anxiety, stressor related disorder is remanded.

REASONS FOR REMAND

The Veteran served on active duty from April 2000 to April 2004. As a result of his military service, the Veteran received the Combat Infantryman Badge, among other decorations.

This matter comes before the Board of Veterans' Appeals (Board) from a May 2018 rating decision of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Office (RO).  The Veteran testified at a hearing with the undersigned in February 2022.  A transcript of that hearing has been added to the Veteran's file.

Remand is necessary to obtain a new VA examination to evaluate the Veteran's current symptoms and their severity. During the Veteran's February 2022 hearing, he provided testimony indicating that the symptoms of his service-connected anxiety disorder had worsened since his May 2018 VA examination. The Veteran's wife also reported additional symptoms in an October 2019 statement. As such, remand is necessary to evaluate the Veteran's current symptoms and their severity.

The matters are REMANDED for the following action:

1. Obtain the Veteran's updated VA treatment records.

2. After records development is completed, schedule the Veteran for a VA mental disorders examination to determine the current symptoms, level of severity, and functional impairment associated with his anxiety disorder.  The claims file should be reviewed by the examiner.  All necessary tests should be performed and the results reported.
