ORDER

The issue of service connection for bladder cancer is dismissed.

FINDING OF FACT

In a December 2021 rating decision, the agency of original jurisdiction (AOJ) granted service connection for bladder cancer effective February 21, 2018; the benefit sought on appeal was granted in full.

CONCLUSION OF LAW

The Board lacks jurisdiction to issue a decision regarding service connection for bladder cancer because the benefit sought has been granted.  38 U.S.C. § 7104(a); 38 C.F.R. § 20.104(a).

REASONS AND BASES FOR FINDING AND CONCLUSION

The Veteran served on active duty from December 1968 to May 1971, including service in the Republic of Vietnam.  This matter comes before the Board of Veterans' Appeals (Board) from an October 2018 rating decision, which denied the claim for service connection for bladder cancer.  The Veteran timely appealed the unfavorable decision.

All questions in a matter which under section 511(a) of this title [38 U.S.C. § 511(a)] is subject to decision by the Secretary shall be subject to one review on appeal to the Secretary.  Final decisions on such appeals shall be made by the Board.  38 U.S.C. § 7104(a); 38 C.F.R. § 20.104(a).  As detailed above, in December 2021, the AOJ granted service connection for bladder cancer.  As the benefit sought on appeal has been granted in full, there remains no question of law or fact on appeal and the Board lacks jurisdiction to issue a decision regarding service connection for bladder cancer.
