Mr. Timothy Graham was appointed Deputy Medical Center Director at the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center May 24, 2021.
Mr. Graham began his VA career in 2003 serving as the Director of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Freedom of Information Act Office and later moving on to serve as the Associate Director at the VA Northern California Health Care System in Martinez, California from 2016 until 2021.
Mr. Graham will oversee operations of one of the largest VA medical centers in the nation which includes 164 acute care beds, 30 psychosocial residential rehabilitation treatment beds and a 20-suite Fisher House. Also, under Mr. Graham’s oversight is the VA Community Resource and Referral Center as well as five community-based outpatient clinics located in the District of Columbia; Virginia; and areas of Maryland, including Prince George’s, Montgomery, Charles and St. Mary’s Counties.
Mr. Graham earned a Juris Doctor degree in 2003 from the University of Tulsa, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in health law from Widener University, Wilmington, Delaware, in 2006. He is a graduate of the 2012 Health Care Leadership Development Program and a member of the 2010 Leadership VA class. Mr. Graham is currently a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
