PRESS RELEASE
July 3, 2024
West Palm Beach , FL — The West Palm Beach VA Healthcare System (WPBVAHCS) is proud to announce the recognition of the Sterling Best Practice Award, in Empowering Veterans Through Personalized Blind Rehabilitation.
This honor recognizes the organization’s excellence by the evaluation of Sterling examiners that conduct a rigorous examination of performance assessments.
The Awards are presented annually to high-performing, role-model organizations, both private and public, that demonstrate superior management approaches and role model results.
“The Blind Rehab Center is where Veterans come to regain independence and not let their disability define them,” said Assistant Director Thomas “Zach” Orr. “This recognition serves as a reflection of the Veteran-centric care provided within the residential program that invests in patients to reclaim their freedom with a renowned VA team of experts.”
The West Palm VA Blind Rehab Center (BRC) is a residential program that serves the southeastern United States for visually impaired Veteran patients to learn lifestyle habits that allow for an enhanced level of independence (BRC team pictured above).
