On June 14th, the U.S. Army will commemorate its 250th birthday with a Foot March that brings together Army Recruiters, community partners, and future soldiers poised to serve our nation. This landmark event underscores the enduring partnership between the military and our communities.

The Foot March will feature collaborations with local veterans’ organizations, including Department of Veteran’s Affairs, the Western Slope Blue Star Moms, VFW Post 3981, the Colorado Army National Guard, Colorado Mesa University, and the Colorado Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. These partnerships highlight a shared commitment to supporting our service members and veterans.

VA Veteran Outreach Coordinator will be in attendance with a VA booth. This booth aims to educate Veterans, Active Duty Service members, and National Guard members about enrolling in VA Health Care, accessing services, and understanding other benefits. Engaging with service members while they are still in service provides them with a clearer understanding of their VA benefits before transitioning out.

This event is not only a celebration of the Army’s rich history but also an opportunity to strengthen ties with the community and reinforce the support network available to those who serve.

We invite the public to join us in honoring our soldiers and celebrating this significant milestone in the Army's storied history.
