Ms. Alicia McClure joined the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center as Assistant Director on June 28, 2026.
Ms. McClure, an Army Veteran, began her federal service in 2007 as an Army Nurse with advanced training in trauma, critical care, and wartime surgery. Her service included deployments and assignments in Fort Riley, KS; Washington, D.C.; and Camp Bucca, Iraq, where she cared for soldiers, detainees, and families.
After her military service, Ms. McClure was the Nurse Manager in a Neuro/Stroke ICU, ensuring staffing readiness and clinical excellence for accreditation efforts. She returned to federal service in 2013 as a Registered Nurse in Dole VA’s Specialty Care. She later became the External Peer Review Program Coordinator in Quality Management, where she strengthened her skills in data analytics. Ms. McClure went on to serve as a Nurse Manager and then Group Practice Manager, leading initiatives to improve access and streamline operations at the local, VISN, and national levels.
Ms. McClure earned a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and is a certified LEAN Green Belt. Outside of work, she enjoys creative pursuits, small business endeavors, and spending time outdoors with her family.
