| Summary: | The purpose of the review was to evaluate selected operations, focusing on patient care administration and quality management (QM). During the review, OIG provided crime awareness briefings to 660 employees. This review focused on 12 activities. The facility complied with selected standards in the following three activities: (1) medication management, (2) nurse staffing, and (3) QM. The facility’s reported accomplishment was the expedited placement confirmation of peripherally inserted central catheter lines. OIG made recommendations for improvement in the following nine activities: (1) moderate sedation, (2) point-of-care testing, (3) colorectal cancer screening, (4) polytrauma, (5) mental health treatment continuity, (6) coordination of care, (7) environment of care, (8) follow-up on coordination of care issue, and (9) follow-up on environment of care issues. |
