Gerard Scorzelli

As Assistant Director, Gerard Scorzelli serves as a full member of the senior management team, working in partnership with the Medical Center Director, Associate Director, Chief of Staff (COS), Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS), and Associate Director for Patient Care Services (ADPCS). He is involved with policymaking and management decisions affecting organizational resources, responsible for developing and implementing long- and short-term goals and objectives. Gerard operates in full support of the organization’s overall strategic plan, developing and integrating administrative and clinical policies affecting the healthcare system, and providing oversight for critical resource management.

For the past eleven years, Gerard has been Stratton VA’s Financial Manager.  He came to the Stratton VA in 2010, after 20-years of service in the private sector, mostly at KeyBank.  Gerard has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from SUNY-Oneonta and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Sage Colleges in Albany.  He prides himself on developing strong relationships and working hard to achieve goals and is highly motivated to learn and grow both professionally and personally.  Gerard lives in Latham with his wife and two teenage children, spending most of his free-time at their sporting events.
