Jinjer Mitchell was appointed as the Chief Quality Officer June 2021 and was given the title of Associate Director of Quality and Patient Safety Nov 2023.

She is responsible for the services of Quality and Patient Safety, Education, Employee and Occupational Health, and the Safety Office.  She began her nursing career as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at the age of 15, working in a local nursing home in Kansas, and has served in health care ever since. Mrs. Mitchell received her RN and BSN in 1995 and her MSN in 2008, both from West Texas A&M University. Over her career, she has had the honor of working in med/surg, home health care, hospice, OR/PACU, cardiac med/surg and ICU, as a nursing instructor at WTAMU and as a clinical nurse educator. Prior to her appointment as the Chief Quality Officer, she served as the Chief of Quality, Safety, Value Service and has been a member of the Quality Service since November 2013.
