The Western North Carolina VA Health Care System is looking for some new employees. The Health Care System has partnered with NC Works – the state’s workforce development center – to host a job fair Jan. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the NCWorks Career Center in Asheville.

There will soon be some new faces and uniforms at the entrances of Western North Carolina VA Health Care System facilities.

The Western North Carolina VA Health Care System has recently filled three key positions. The positions include: Facility Management Service Chief; Quality Management Service Chief; and Privacy Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Officer.

The Western North Carolina VA Health Care System will begin offering drive-through Flu Shot clinics next week. This will allow Veterans to avoid crowded waiting rooms, and get their shots in the comfort of their own cars. 

Charles George VA Medical Center has announced that Dr. Ashfaq Ahsanuddin, MD, has accepted its chief of staff position.

It's that time of year again -- flu season. And with it comes the potential to contract the flu. Well, we have good news! The Western North Carolina VA Health Care System now has flu shots available for Veterans enrolled in health care here.
