Dr. Carbonell attended the University of Miami where he graduated with a degree in Biology.
Dr. Carbonell then went on to attend Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, FL and graduated in 2014. Dr. Carbonell’ s PMSR/RRA residency was performed at Bethesda Memorial Hospital East in Boynton Beach, FL. He trained in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, diabetic foot/ limb preservation surgery, and complex wound management.
He serves as a staff podiatrist in the AVAHCS and is the Clerkship Director for the AVAHCS Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residency program. Dr. Carbonell is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He is a fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, and a fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine.
