Ms. Danielle Terrell assumed her role of Acting Associate Director for Outlying Sites at the Atlanta VA Medical Center in April 2024.
Ms. Terrell oversees Regional Site Administrators, Health Administration Service, The Center for Civic Development and Civic Engagement, Veteran Experience Office and Finance. She has served in numerous roles within her 18-year career with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). She began her career at the Pittsburgh VA Healthcare System in 2006, as a Medical Support Assistant and member of the Veterans Engineering Resource Center (VERC), developing the VA National Initiative to Reduce Missed Opportunities (NIRMO). Ms. Terrell has held roles as the Acting IVC Field Operations Field Support Supervisor, the Chief of Community Care, and the Interim Assistant Director for the Joseph Maxwell Cleland VAMC in Atlanta. She has also held roles as the Ambulatory Care Operations Director, Operations Officer to the Chief of Staff, System Redesign Program Manager, and Improving Capabilities Grant Manager at the Columbia VA Healthcare System.
Danielle is a United States Army Veteran, VA Certified Mentor, 2008 Excellence in Government award recipient, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt awarded at the 2009 and 2011 VHA Improvement Forum and a 2012 graduate of the VHA Flow Academy. She has a Master of Management with a concentration in Healthcare from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor in Business Management from Seton Hill University.
