Hurricane Helene Relief Asheville

The AVAHCS has a distinct chance to offer help to VA employees and Veterans in Asheville, NC.

The impact of Hurricane Helene on the area was felt by local citizens, including VA staff. The Emergency Department Nursing team has started collecting hygiene, clothing, and cleaning products to help cover their needs.

Our request is for volunteer donations to be stored in shoe boxes and secured with a rubber band.

The shipment of items to Asheville will take place on Friday afternoon. Items can be taken to Pete Wheeler Auditorium at the JMCVAMC or the Blairsville VA Clinic lobby on Friday, October 11 between 8 a.m. to noon.
