Robert F. Reeder, MHA, FACHE (Colonel, US Army Retired), was appointed Associate Director of Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in July 2015.
He graduated from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. Simultaneously, he completed Army ROTC as a Distinguished Military Graduate. In addition to his undergraduate work, Mr. Reeder holds a Master of Arts in Computer Resource Management from Webster University, a Master of Healthcare Administration from Baylor University, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the US Army War College.

He graduated from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. Simultaneously, he completed Army ROTC as a Distinguished Military Graduate. In addition to his undergraduate work, Mr. Reeder holds a Master of Arts in Computer Resource Management from Webster University, a Master of Healthcare Administration from Baylor University, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the US Army War College. Mr. Reeder served in the US Army for 30 years. He spent 10 years on Active Duty in the US Army, stationed in Berlin and Landstuhl Germany, as well as San Antonio, Texas. Upon leaving Active Duty, he was employed by Talbert Medical Management Company, where he was a center administrator in Ogden, Utah. He then moved to Moses Lake, Washington to become the Executive Director for the Association of Samaritan Physicians, an employed physician group of Samaritan Healthcare. While at Samaritan, he was detailed as the Acting Chief Operating Officer as well as the Interim Chief Financial Officer. He became the Chief Executive Officer at Columbia Basin Hospital, a 25 Bed Critical Access Hospital that also included a Nursing Home, an Assisted Living Complex, and a Physician Clinic, located in Ephrata, Washington.
Maintaining his military affiliation in the US Army Reserves, Mr. Reeder was mobilized and deployed to Kuwait and Iraq for 19 months in 2003 - 2004, where he was the Associate Hospital Administrator for two Combat Support Hospitals and received the Bronze Star. From 2005 – 2015, he commanded three medical task forces, the final three years as the Commander of the 2nd Medical Brigade, based out of Oakland, CA, which oversaw all Combat Medical Units in the Pacific Coast states.
