Van services for Veterans
Shuttle services
The Veterans Transportation Service (VTS) is the go to place for your VA transport needs. VTS provides a streamlined process for Veterans to receive transportation for their care needs.
Call
VTS operates Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and is closed for Federal Holidays.
Please call as soon as you schedule your appointment, but a minimum of 3 business days before is required to ensure space is available.
DAV vans
Hours: Individual van schedules vary
We work with Disabled American Veterans and county Veterans Affairs directors to provide transportation for Veterans and authorized caregivers to get to scheduled medical appointments

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health problem that some people develop after experiencing or witnessing a life-threatening event, like combat, a natural disaster, a car accident, or sexual assault. It's normal to have upsetting memories, feel on edge, or have trouble sleeping after this type of event. If symptoms last more than a few months, it may be PTSD. We can help you with effective treatments and support services, like:

Social Work at VA Battle Creek is an integral part of health care. We help Veterans and their families with problems associated with the stress of an illness or injury. Social work services are provided on inpatient and outpatient basis.
The Social Work Service also educates and assists Veterans and their families with obtaining available resources within the VA system and in the community. This may include but is not limited to:
- home health and skilled services, including respite for caregivers

- community living

- discharge planning
- benefit and financial resources
- transition services for returning combat Veterans
