Important Information for Veterans and Families
The Birmingham VA Health Care System will conduct a planned network outage from Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10 p.m. to Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 6 a.m.
During this period, parts of our technology infrastructure will move to a new system to improve reliability, performance, and patient care. Contingency plans will support safe operations throughout the transition.
During this time, medical center telephones will be available mainly for emergency use. Veterans and families should use personal cell phones to communicate with loved ones. Telephones located in patient rooms will remain operational to communicate with loved ones.
