The Birmingham VA Health Care System welcomed community partners sharing their time and appreciation for military service Feb. 9-15.

At the Birmingham VA Health Care System, we are honored to serve the men and women who have given so much to our nation.

Each year in January, a dedicated team from the Birmingham VA joins One Roof, a community organization leading Birmingham to prevent and end homelessness.

Taryn, a two-year-old female Labrador Retriever, recently joined the staff at the Birmingham VA Health Care System as a trained and certified facility dog.

On Thursday, January 16, 2025, the Birmingham VA Health Care System proudly celebrated the grand opening of the new Shoals VA Clinic with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 410 Cox Blvd, Sheffield, Alabama.

The Guntersville VA Clinic turned into a place of celebration on December 20, 2024, as staff, family, and friends gathered to honor John Stowe, a Veteran who is reaching a remarkable milestone of 100 years.

For nearly 20 years, the American Legion has brightened the holidays for Veterans at the Birmingham VA Health Care System with its annual Christmas Caravan.

Team members from Coca-Cola Bottling Company United and Cheeriodicals delivered “big green bags of cheer” to Veterans at the Birmingham VA Health Care System.

The Birmingham VA Headache Center of Excellence (HCoE) has recently been designated as a “Hub” which is the highest level in the national HCoE program. The Birmingham program will receive an annual budget of $1.1 million to provide headache management to Veterans in the Southeast.
