Randall W. Weaver, M.D., FAAFP, serves as Deputy Chief of Staff-Montgomery at CAVHCS.
Randall W. Weaver, M.D., FAAFP, serves as Deputy Chief of Staff-Montgomery at CAVHCS. He has been the Deputy Chief of Staff since October 2015. Dr. Weaver obtained his medical degree in 1991 from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Tuscaloosa Family Practice Residency Program. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Before coming to CAVHCS, he was the medical director for two different community health center organizations. During this time, he also practiced medicine in rural Alabama for 17 years. He was involved in several medical, educational, civic, charitable and youth organizations some of which he served leadership positions in prior to coming to CAVHCS. He is a prior President of the Alabama Academy of Family Physicians. He came to CAVHCS in February 2011 as the Chief Medical Officer for Primary Care at the Montgomery Campus. In October 2012, he became the Deputy Associate Chief of Staff for Ambulatory Care. He served as the Acting Associate Chief of Staff for Ambulatory Care from May 2014 to March 2016. He has served on or participated in multiple committees and rapid process improvement workshops during his time at CAVHCS. He has been married for 30 years with two children.
