Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) is preparing to celebrate the opening of the new Robert S. Poydasheff VA Clinic.

This state-of-the-art facility is located at 6910 River Road, Columbus, Georgia, replacing the Community Based Outpatient Clinic on 13th Avenue in Columbus. The Robert S. Poydasheff VA Clinic will provide the most significant number of enrolled Veterans with the closest geographic access to services.

We want to make sure this transition is as smooth as possible for you. If you have a scheduled appointment on or after July 11, 2022, please visit us at the Poydasheff clinic

The Robert S. Poydasheff VA Clinic was named after the late Col. (ret) Robert S. Poydasheff, Army Veteran and former mayor of Columbus.

In addition to Primary Care, Women’s Health and Mental Health, the new clinic is scheduled to provide: Social Work, Dental and Optometry Services, Clinical Pharmacy, Whole Health Coach, a Center for Development and Civic Engagement (Volunteer Services), Audiology, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Prosthetics, Radiology, Beneficiary Travel, Podiatry, TeleRetinal, TeleDerm, TeleNeurology, TeleTraumatic Brain Injury, Patient Advocate, Biomedical Engineering, Sterile Processing Services, Police Services, Logistics Services and Chaplain Services.
