New valet parking for Veterans at Cincinnati VAMC

You finally find a spot, but you don’t see a golf cart to hitch a ride on, so you still need to make it all the way to the main entrance. Unfortunately, we’ve all been there and understand how frustrating it is. The good news is finding parking at the Cincinnati VAMC main campus has just gotten a lot easier.

Valet parking is now available to Veterans with appointments, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Offering this complimentary, much-needed service is part of our commitment to being Better Each Day and improving your overall experience at the medical center.

“We look forward to the ease of access and convenience, reduced stress, and overall improved Veteran experience that valet parking will provide,” said Desiree Emmert, Cincinnati VAMC Veteran Experience Officer.

Veterans interested in using valet parking should follow the signs directing you to the valet parking stand at the main entrance. Parking Veterans, LLC, the company awarded the contract to provide the service, estimates no more than a 10-minute wait for drop-off and pick-up. According to the vendor, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are typically the busiest days for VA medical centers, so you are encouraged to arrive early enough to wait in line, exchange your car keys for a ticket, and make it to your appointments on time.

For those requiring a wheelchair, the valet attendants may provide the wheelchair but are not permitted to assist you into the wheelchair or transport you to your appointment; however, there will be Red Coat Ambassadors and volunteers nearby who are able to assist.

If you utilized valet parking but end up leaving the medical center between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m., you will be able to retrieve your keys from the Emergency Department reception desk.
