Since 1978, the Department of Veterans Affairs has designated the week of Valentine’s Day, from February 9-15, to commemorate Veterans by facilitating visits to those who are hospitalized, promoting volunteer opportunities, and accepting Valentine’s Day cards.

On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, Registered Nurse, Melisa Audia, of the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center was honored with The DAISY Award® For Extraordinary Nurses.
A team from the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center (LAJVAMC) in Clarksburg traveled north to Morgantown to visit and honor a 102-year-old World War II Veteran on Monday, March 25th.
