Wheelchair availability:  Wheelchairs are available upon arrival for patients who need them to access the building.

Non-DAV van services

Many localities in the region provide other van services to Veterans.

Shuttle services

  • On campus parking shuttles are available weekdays (except federal holidays) during normal business hours.
  • A shuttle between the Newington and West Haven campuses leaves the Newington campus at 10 a.m. (arrives at 11 a.m.). The shuttle departs West Haven for Newington at 12:30 p.m. (arrives at 1:30 p.m.) and 5 p.m. (arrives at 6 p.m.)

We work with Disabled American Veterans and contracted vendors to provide transportation for Veterans and authorized caregivers to get to scheduled medical appointments.

Leeds to West Haven (via Springfield and Newington)

Departs Leeds at 7:30 a.m.                   Arrives in Springfield at 8 a.m.

                                                                        Arrives in Newington at 9 a.m.

                                                                        Arrives in West Haven at 10 a.m.

Departs West Haven at 2 p.m.             Arrives in Leeds at 4:30pm

Beneficiary Travel

Beneficiary travel benefits include round-trip transportation from your home to the medical center, mileage reimbursement, or special mode transport.
