Meet this year’s Welcome Home 2022 honorees
Five women Veterans were honored Friday evening at the Welcome Home 2022 "A Night Out at the Ballpark" celebration at the Dayton Dragons game.

This year’s honorees are Kathy Hayes, Margaret Kruckemeyer, Nicole Kendall-Bishop, Cassie Barlow and Tamara Averett-Brauer. They received flags that have flown over the U.S. Capitol, certificates from the governor and congressman, Dragons swag and other gifts. They also met the Dayton mayor. A video of them was played on the big scoreboard and Barlow threw out the first pitch. It’s the 14th year for the Dayton VA and Dayton Dragons teaming up to recognize and thank our Veterans.
