The Dayton VA Medical Center has a proud heritage of providing high quality health care since 1867 to those who have served our country.  We are a state of the art teaching facility serving Veterans more than 150 years.  With the latest technological innovations and highly trained staff, the Dayton VA Medical Center is health care of today.

The Dayton VA Medical Center provides comprehensive health care, which includes Acute, Community Living Center, and Residential Care.  The ambulatory care program is provided through a variety of clinics including a primary care program designed to assure that we offer an atmosphere of friendly, personal and individualized patient care. Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) are located in Lima, Middletown, and Springfield, Ohio along with Richmond, Indiana. The CBOCs offer a complete array of diagnostic, rehabilitative, and therapeutic programs and services using state of the art technology to treat the total patient and ensure the Veteran continuity of care. The Medical Center also has sharing agreements with Wright Patterson Air Force Base and eleven (11) community hospitals.

The Medical Center sits on a 334 acre tract of land (including a National Cemetery).  The current patient tower was activated in June, 1992.

The Dayton VA Medical Center has active affiliations with the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine* and the School of Professional Psychology*. There are also nursing student affiliations with the Wright State University*, University of Cincinnati*, Miami University*, Kettering College of Medical Arts*, Sinclair Community College*, Indiana University*, Indiana Wesleyan*, and Miami Valley Career Technology Center*, as well as affiliations with some fifty other academic programs.
