Dr. Frank Jordan is the Chief of Communications and Stakeholder Relations.
Dr. Frank Jordan is the Chief of Communications and Stakeholder relations at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center (CVVAMC) in Dublin, Georgia. A U.S. Navy veteran, Dr. Jordan has worked with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since 2003, when he joined the CVVAMC Police Service, and was selected as its police chief in 2007. He retired from police work in 2011 after 21 years in the profession, remaining with the Dublin VA as its communications director until 2017, when he worked with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) in Brunswick, Georgia as a senior law enforcement instructor at the Leadership Institute. In his role as a law enforcement instructor, Dr. Jordan taught leadership concepts and related subjects such as emotional intelligence, DISC behavioral analysis, crisis management, critical thinking, among others, and taught students from over 50 countries, with backgrounds as diverse as police recruits and cabinet-level officials, and in locations that included Hungary, El Salvador, and Thailand, and domestically in locales such as Roswell, New Mexico and Washington, DC. Dr. Jordan rejoined the CVVAMC team in late 2018 as the Executive Assistant to the Associate Director for Patient Care Services (EA/ADPCS). During his VA career, he has served in many acting roles including acting Medical Center Director, Interim Associate Medical Center Director, Human Resources Manager, and Education Services Supervisor. He is a graduate of several leadership development programs, including the VA’s Healthcare Leadership Development Program (HCLDP), Network Executives Healthcare Leadership Institute (NEHCLI), and Action-based Leadership Program, and he is also a graduate of Dublin-Laurens Leadership, a program that facilitates interactions between leaders of local organizations. Dr. Jordan is a Veterans Health Administration Mentoring Fellow and has been certified as an instructor for DISC behavioral analysis, emotional intelligence, prevention and management of violent behavior, civility in the workplace, and many others. Dr. Jordan received his Doctor of Education degree from Georgia Southern University. An alumnus of Troy University, he was awarded his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice summa cum laude as well as a Master’s degree in criminal justice administration. He received Lean Sigma green belt training at the Johns Hopkins University, customer service management training from the University of Georgia, and recently completed a program in organizational analysis with Stanford University. Dr. Jordan has taught criminal justice topics as an associate professor at Middle Georgia State University and Georgia Military College. Active in his community, Dr. Jordan has served on the boards of directors for United Way and Dublin-Laurens Leadership. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and is a member of Mensa International. He is married with three sons, one daughter, three grandchildren, five dogs, and five cats.
