Dr. Pamela L. Jackson is the Associate Director of Patient Care Services at Carl Vinson Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Dublin, GA.
The daughter of a Veteran and an Army Reserve Veteran herself, Dr. Jackson has over 30 years of nursing background with experience in nursing leadership/management (off-tour nursing supervisor), professional education, emergency medicine, psychiatric, ambulatory surgery, and home health care. She began her nursing career as a licensed practical nurse in 1987 and continued her educational pursuit until she obtained a terminal degree in 2014. She holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice-(DNP) in Administration with an Educator Concentration from Samford University, Birmingham, AL. Dr. Jackson has also obtained ANCC’s distinguished certification as an Advanced Nurse Executive. Her professional involvement at the national level includes her recent appointment to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) at the American Nurses Association. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
