Susan has served over 11 years in the VA.
Susan served five and a half years at the Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS, Denver VA), starting as a GHATP Fellow in the 2012 Cohort. After her GHATP Fellowship, her roles at ECHCS included Health Systems Specialist (HSS) to the Nurse Executive and HSS to the Chief of Staff. Her time at ECHCS gave her a breadth of knowledge and experience in the Clinical, Support, and Administrative Services, preparing her for major, cross-cutting projects and focusing on the “big picture,” leading her to move to the VISN office in June 2018 as a Management Analyst to the VISN 19 Network Director and Deputy Network Director. Since June 2019, Susan has served as the VISN 19 Assistant Director of Resources (AsD-R). Most recently, she served as the Acting Associate Director at Montana VA HCS from September 2023 to February 2024.
Susan received her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH and her Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
