Erie VA Medical Center (VAMC) announces a critical need for volunteer drivers in the Meadville, Pa. area.

Every day, 17 individuals in the United States lose their lives while waiting for an organ transplant. Thousands more are in anticipation of life-enhancing tissue transplants. Despite the pressing need, a significant number of people remain unregistered as organ and tissue donors.

Erie VA Healthcare System proudly invites Veterans and the community to attend the Primary Care Clinic Expansion and Renovation groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Erie VA Medical Center.

The Erie VA Medical Center, in collaboration with Erie Elks Lodge 67, and Erie Times Newsies, is providing 202 Thanksgiving turkey dinner boxes to Veterans throughout northwestern Pennsylvania November 21 and 23.

Today, the Erie VA Medical Center announced that it has housed 79 Veterans experiencing homeless in Western Pennsylvania this fiscal year.

The Erie VA Medical Center police team participated in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Drug Take-Back Event April 26 at the main facility and collected approximately 116 pounds in prescription drugs.

Today, the Department of Veterans Affairs announced that Veteran trust in the Erie VA Medical Center has risen to 95.6% — up from 90.2% in 2018 (the first year since VA began conducting this survey). Additionally, nationwide trust in VA outpatient care has increased to 91.8% — up from 85.6% in 2018.
